What will the world look like in 2050? Hamish McRae

If, like us, you are a global investor - or at least invest outside the UK - then what happens in the world is critical to your wealth building.

One reason we generally like to invest in global equities is because we’re not sure which countries are going to win or lose, and by backing the globe we don’t need to be correct. You can learn more about this rationale in our free newsletter on how to start investing here.

Still, we think it’s useful to be engaged with what’s happening in the world, and frankly, it can be quite fun making predictions so we’re speaking to Economist Hamish McRae.

One of the most remarkable things about Hamish is he’s in his 80s. What has he been putting into his cornflakes to remain this virile?

He’s lived through some of the most extraordinary periods in modern history, seen big economic waves come and go - and has built decades of knowledge wisdom around predicting the future.

So what does he think the world will look like in 2050?
